Here are a few unusual mushrooms from a recent walk in the Gateway Trail and Pandapas areas around Blacksburg, Virginia.

      Oh, I know–they ARE far out! BTW, I had my first trip to Carvin’s Cove this spring with my husband. It was a lovely walk, and we saw Twayblade Orchids there along the trail. I was so excited, since I’ve rarely seen them anywhere before. All best!
